20+ years with Parker Hannifin in various engineering, sales, manufacturing and product planning roles; Dover Corp, OPW Fueling Components Division, Vice President. Fifteen years in the semiconductor equipment industry in Silicon Valley, with engineering, marketing and strategic management responsibility.

President, Semi-Gas Systems at the time, the worlds largest supplier of specialty gas delivery equipment to the chip industry; Managing Director, Engineered Solutions, a design/built contractor to the primary chip fabricating OEMs.

Work History:

Project manager with the Energy Division, NC Department of Commerce. Responsible for the NC Residential Energy Conservation Program, NC Solar Energy Bank, and the Governor's Showcase of Solar Homes. Project Manager with the NC Alternative Energy Corporation. Developed programs to assist owners of residential, commercial, and institutional buildings reduce energy consumption.  Wrote technical informational brochures and handbooks on residential energy conservation and solar energy technologies.  Freelance technical writer and editor.

Work History:

Ten years as a trained Main Propulsion Supervisor for the US Navy. Operations and maintenance on both 600 and 1200 psi propulsion plants and all associated equipment on three different US Navy Ships. Two years working with Boiler Masters in Greensboro, NC after leaving the Navy working on low pressure boilers. Retired from the US Army as a professional musician in the Army Bands program after 33 years military service.

Studied at La Tech University in Ruston, LA. Trained with the US Navy at Great Lakes Service School Command and Norfolk, VA Navy Base in Boiler maintenance and Boiler water Feedwater test and treatment.

Work History:

Niall has 23 years of combined experience in Manufacturing, IT and Waste Management industries. He is former Facility Manager of industrial composting facility processing food waste and other biodegradable materials. He has worked within the hospitality sector with waste reduction and recycling programs. Niall has experience working on energy efficiency in the IT industry and also on BIOGAS renewable energy projects.

Work History:

Managerial experience in environmental solutions, energy and electroplating including Director of Environmental Affairs for Moen Incorporated, and Manager of Plating and Pollution Control with Stanadyne Corporation.

Worked in the automotive industry for General Motors and Delphi on various assignments in Engineering and Business Management.  Focused on automotive component products for OEM and aftermarket applications.

Work History:

Business owner of an industrial container recycling company focused on reconditioning steel and plastic drums as well as intermediate bulk containers (IBC's).  Key element of this business was developing nationwide return programs for industrial container reuse.

BGS from the University of Michigan, majoring in Business.

Work History:

Design engineer for greenhouse, equipment, and laboratory applications in agriculture and timber related industries, with plant growth chamber and industrial lumber drying kiln patents.

Education:

B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of South Carolina.  M.S in Agricultural Engineering and Ph.D. in BioSystems Engineering from Clemson University, with certificates in Advanced Design from the N.C. Industrial Ventilation Conference and in Sustainable Energy via MITx online.

Work History:

Spent 36 years servicing and selling to industrial water treatment accounts. This involved taking care of  boilers, cooling towers, waste treatment systems, and closed loop cooling systems in industries such as power plants, paper mills, textile plants, food processing plants, and hospitals. Optimized water usage, as well as protect the systems from scale, corrosion, and biological growth.

Work History:

John spent ten years at NC State University where he performed energy surveys with the Energy Solutions Group, and renewable energy assessments with the North Carolina Solar Center. He spent thirty years as an Electrical and Control Systems Engineer in consulting engineering with an emphasis on industrial and utility steam and power generation. He teaches workshops and classes on energy efficiency and renewable energy topics.

Education:

B.S.Degree in Eletrical Engineering from the University of Alabama.

Work History:

Tom Rhodes has 34 years of experience in waste reduction, reuse, and recycling.  He served as manager for Burke County’s BERT Recycling Program, and Iredell County’s Recycling Program. As Program Manager for the Department of Environmental Assistance and Customer Service, he developed the NC GreenTravel Initiative Partnership with WRP, East Carolina University’s Center for
Sustainable Tourism, and EDPNC’s Visit NC program. NC GreenTravel Initiative is a sustainability program focusing on waste reduction, water conservation, and energy conservation for North Carolina’s travel and tourism industry.

Education:

Tom holds a diploma in Energy Management from North Carolina State University and a recycling coordinator certification from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
