Work History:

Director of the Waste Reduction Partners (WRP), a technical consulting group of the Land of Sky Regional Council, which works in a partnership with NC DENR and the State Energy Program. The innovative team of volunteer and staff engineers provides waste reduction and energy efficiency assistance to businesses and public institutions throughout North Carolina. Since 2000, WRP has provided over 116,000 hours of technical assistance, helping businesses and municipal clients save over $22 million in utility costs - while improving their environmental performance.

Education:

Certified Energy Manager, a Professional Engineer in North Carolina, and holds Bachelor and Master Degrees in Civil and Environmental Engineering from NCSU.

Work History:

Lynn Bestul was involved in energy conservation and quality improvement at Florida Power and Light.  He also took part in residential and commercial generation studies, recycling education and program development and special even recycling design at the Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County, Fl.  Managed recycling collection and processing operation, coordinated special waste collection programs and promoted recycling through education and presentations.

Work History:

Project /Construction Manager with experience including process and equipment troubleshooting, debottlenecking, and management of projects of various size and types.  Experience in engineering management, budgeting, engineering studies and other functions.  Licensed General Contractor in North Carolina.  Licensed Home Builder in Alabama.

Education:

B.S. Mechanical Engineering - The University of Alabama;  Selected as a University of Alabama Mechanical Engineering Fellow in 1995.

Work History:

Kent Davis has a strong and diverse background in engineering, sales, service and business development in the energy sector, including both renewables and fossil fuels.   Kent has held strategic leadership positions in Albemarle Corporation, TESORO Petroleum Corporation, BP North America, W.R. Grace and Co. and Amoco Oil Company.

Education:

Kent Davis holds an engineering degree from Louisiana State University and an MBA from the University of Houston.

Work History:

Was General Manager for the Environment and Energy Division of Concurrent Technologies Corporation and was Executive Director for the National Defense Center for Environmental Excellence. Have over 30 years manufacturing, environmental, and research experience at EPA, Lockheed Missiles and Space Company, Environmental Research and Technology and as president of my own consulting firm.  Was Director of Product Development for the Ross Division of Abbott Laboratories and also taught chemical engineering for ten years at North Carolina State University as well as teaching OSHA, EPA and DOT training courses for over ten years.

Work History:

Employed by John Deere with roles in Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Facilities, Project Management, and Quality Engineering. Worked in Combine, Planter, Diesel Engine, and Transaxle business units. Spent the last ten years in various corporate Quality Engineering roles. Lived as an expat in Mexico while working on the construction, startup, and operation of a new diesel engine manufacturing plant. Also part of a team that started a joint venture with two Japanese companies to make transaxles in Rock Hill, SC.

BS Mechanical Engineering from North Dakota State University. MBA from St Ambrose University. American Society for Quality (ASQ) certifications of Six Sigma Black Belt, Quality Auditor, and Quality Manager/Operational Excellence

Work History:

Senior scientist in a large pharmaceutical company in the areas of infectious diseases, molecular biology and molecular genetics. Indepth experience with a wide range of molecular biological and molecular genetics techniques and instrumentation that supported research in therapeutic areas such as oncology, viral and bacterial diseases, and asthma.  By leading and participating in international project teams, have developed strong communications and teamwork skills leading to successful outcomes in culturally diverse situations.

Work History:

Worked in consulting engineering the majority of career.  Consulted with industries, municipalities and government on variety of projects.  Spent time as an environmental health and safety manager for a small chemical company.  Areas of expertise include pollution prevention, industrial and municipal water and wastewater treatment processes and air pollution control technology.

Work History:

Consulting engineer experienced with municipal and industrial wastewater treatment systems; hazardous waste treatment storage and disposal permitting; facility environmental health and safety compliance; and, contaminated groundwater collection and treatment systems. Small business owner experienced with environmental health and safety compliance.

Work History:

Has 19 years of experience in recycling and solid waste management programs. Worked with the Georgia Environmental Protection Division on recycling program implementation and illegal dump prevention projects. Previously worked in the State of Georgia Purchasing Office where she implemented the state's Environmental Purchasing Program. Also worked as a Promotions Manager and Operations Assistant with the University of Colorado Recycling Services.

Work History:

Engineering work for large and small engineering firms, state regulatory agencies, local government, and industry. Experience includes planning, permitting, operations and design work in air pollution control, wastewater treatment, hazardous waste management.

Work History:

Experience as an architect with several firms, over 25 years in private practice in Lincoln, Nebraska.  Energy Manager with NC Energy Office Federal Grant to identify energy savings measures at 11 community colleges in Western North Carolina.  Account Manager Associate with ICF to encourage demand-side management energy saving for commercial and industrial utility customers.

25 years energy assessment experience with the South Carolina Energy Office, Waste Reduction Partners, private contract work.
